Sleep Study polysomnography test
Polysomnography, known as a sleep study, is a test used to diagnose sleep disorders. Polysomnography records your brain waves, the oxygen level in your blood, and your heart rate and breathing during sleep. It also measures eye and leg movements.
These studies involve the recording of metrics such as brain waves, eye movements, and other body activities while the patient is sleeping. The results of the study are then used to diagnose and treat any underlying sleep disorders, such as sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, insomnia, and more.
Your CPAP titration results will determine the correct air pressure for your CPAP machine. After your doctor has interpreted your study results, you will be instructed on how to get a CPAP machine and mask so you can start your CPAP therapy at home.
Most at-home sleep apnea monitors are easy to set up. They generally include the following components:
- a finger clip that measures your oxygen levels and heart rate
- a nasal cannula to measure oxygen and airflow
- sensors to track the rise and fall of your chest

Our Vision
We started the lab to provide quality diagnostic workup of the patients, according to recommended standards of AASM. We wished to fill the lacunae in sleep disorders diagnosis and ultimately specific therapeutic measures. In future we wish to promote our sleep laboratory as a training centre for the aspirant clinicians, technicians and also physiologists.
